About
At the age of three, I was diagnosed with medium-severe hearing loss, which was remedied with hearing aids. At he age of 21 , I was diagnosed with an eye condition that was mild at the time, but would slowly develop and eventually create significant limitations. Both were hidden disabilities that for many years did not leave visible traces in my everyday life – neither in school , sports, leisure time, social realtions , education, work or family life. Yet living with a disability is always present as a silent companion, both physically and mentally.
I experienced periods of self-doubt, feeling different, and wondering if there was a room for me. To overcome that, I had to learn to shift my focus away from my limitations while accepting them as a natural part of me. It required a lot of work on myself and a clear decision about how I wanted to live my life. One thing was clear. I would not let my disabilities define my possibilities. I have always had big ambitions – both professionally and personally.
I have a master of science in Pharmacy, and have been part of the pharmaceutical industry since graduation in 2000, primarily in Novo Nordisk, where I have worked with clinical trials/clinical project management ent, medical affairs and strategy. In 2022 I chose to quit my job to create a new direction and challenge my self once again.
My approach is shaped by life: challenges should not be avoided – they should be solved. I seek out new paths when the old ones are not enough, and insist on challenging status quo almost to the extreme, until I am sure that all possibilities have been uncovered. I fundamentally believe that anything is possible if the will is strong enough.
Privately, I am married, have 3 children & live close to Copenhagen in Denmark.
